Enhanced Email Features

Enhanced Email features enabled in Outlook when using with IceMAIL include:

Wireless PDA Synchronization

IceMAIL’s ActiveSync, GoodLink, and Blackberry support enables your mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks to be fully synchronized. IceMAIL’s synchronization options go way beyond the basic POP email capability that comes standard with many Palm or Blackberry devices—with IceMAIL, you get to utilize the other 75% of the PDA’s capabilities.

	Anything changed within Outlook is automatically updated on your PDA via the cellular data networks.
	Send/receive emails, appointments, change contacts, create notes, and task and have everything immediately synchronized between your PDA and IceMAIL/Outlook account.
	View and edit documents, spreadsheets, or other files directly from your PDA.
	Have your assistant update your calendar and customer contacts list for you and these updates will be shown on the PDA immediately.

Backup and Data Reliability

IceMAIL’s data centers employ the latest in technology and physical protection to ensure you data is always secure and available.

	Secondary daily backup of critical data to network attached storage systems
	All servers feature hardware RAID disk systems for reliability and performance

	Each server has redundant power supplies from two different power plants. All power plants backup up by data center battery systems and six diesel generators.

Additional Data Storage

Microsoft Outlook

Each IceMAIL mailbox receives a free copy of Microsoft Outlook (a $110 value each). Far superior to Outlook Express or other POP and web-only email systems, Outlook running with IceMAIL’s Microsoft Exchange-based network servers, enables hundreds of additional email, calendar, contact, task, note, public folder, and other features.

	Microsoft Outlook is your all-in-one email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes software tool.
	Use Microsoft Outlook as your single email software and consolidate your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, and other ISP-based email into your single inbox.
	Apply rules to highlight, sort, or move email to folders based on your third-party email provider, subject lines, to/from fields, etc.

Shared Calendars and Scheduling

Shared Calendar and Scheduling to manage your personal and business calendars. Optionally you’re your schedule viewable by other users to see your availability when scheduling meetings.

	Open multiple employee calendars, view side-by-side (including day, week, or month view).
	Delegate permissions to your assistant to manage your schedule for you and schedule meetings on your behalf.
	Use free-busy scheduler to see when everyone is available for a meeting.

Use any web browser to access your IceMAIL email, calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, and more.

	OWA has same look and feel as the full version of Microsoft Outlook but you only need a web-browser to log into your account.
	Use OWA when you are traveling, at a family member’s home, or just away from your computer and need to send or check your email or calendar.
	Also use OWA for employees that don’t have individual desktop PCs running the full version of Microsoft Outlook.

Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam Protection

IceMAIL includes the most advanced virus protection and anti-spam protections available.

	Five different anti-virus scanning systems are utilized to protect inbound and outbound emails.
	Virus signature files are updated several times each day to ensure we catch new viruses that are released into the Internet.
	Unsolicited email (AKA “spam”) is screened by multiple systems and technologies including white/black lists, reverse lookups, and heuristics to block incoming spam before it hits your mailbox.

Archiving and Compliance

Most businesses have a legal or regulatory requirement to retain their records/data for a period of time up to 10 years—this applies to email as well.

	Optional archiving and compliance management services allow you to select how many years data is retained/stored by IceMAIL.
	Compliance options go further than just archiving of data to satisfy specific auditor and government compliance (e.g. HIPPA, Sarbox, SEC, etc.) requirements. Failure to maintain data as specified in these regulations could leave your business subject to criminal, and civil penalties or fines.
